Fluffy Kitten Twitches While Sleeping - YouTubeWhy do cats move while they sleep? You may have noticed that your cat moves while sleeping. Did you wonder why this is happening? What's going on in your bodies? Are you dreaming? Read to become an expert in science behind why cats move in their dream. Belts or seizures? If your often blinks in your dream, you may be worried that the condition is serious. However, many cats move in the dream. They could move their ears, knead the air, or make vocal sounds or suck. There are several theories about why. Some people think they're involuntary muscle spasms. But most scientists agree that cats move while at the sleep stage of the rapid movement of the eyes (REM). In humans, the REM stage is when we remember our dreams. Cats sleep up to 16 hours a day, and a greater proportion of their sleep is the REM dream when compared to the cycle of human sleep. You may have noticed that younger cats tend to hit more than older cats. A similarity between humans and cats—beyond they both go to REM sleep—is that their young people have immature nervous systems. Their nervous systems are hard to work making neuron connections and constantly shooting, so babies move their limbs often and why kittens are so active. Exchange during help to properly develop your nervous system. For most cats, turning while sleeping is a normal and common behavior. There is no reason to see a veterinarian on the twitching of your cat unless they are also lethargic, have a decreased appetite, vomiting, body hardens or have twitching movements when they move, or are difficult to wake up. These symptoms may be symptoms of other serious diseases. The total stiffness of the body and the movements of masturbation can be indicative that your cat is having a seizure and not just the innocent twitching. Seizures not only occur during sleep, however, so you will probably notice them while your cat is awake, too. If your cat has seizures, it is also likely that you will see that they act strangely while awake; they may have double feet or seem confused. Sleep Stages Essentially, cats experience three stages of sleep. The lightest type of dream is the short "catapas" they take. During this dream, cats are very aware of their surroundings. You may notice that while taking a canap, your cat's ears still spin in response to the sounds. Catnaps originated in wild cats as a natural defense mechanism, and the behavior was passed to modern domestic cats. Deep sleep is also known as the REM stage of sleep. This stage only lasts five to 10 minutes at a time and is when cats move and probably dream. When they really sleep, cats spread through deep sleep and another stage of sleep — light sleep. The light sleep is between the mantle and deep sleep in the length and level of consciousness. Kittens have a fourth stage of sleep, known as an activated dream. During the triggered sleep, the nervous system of a cat is active (as it is usually at rest during sleep) and may cry or squirm, or have more pronounced bouquets than their average twitch cat. This, like other nervous shots that occur in young animals, is important to match the nervous system. He never gets a kitty to sleep. They need a lot of rest to compensate for all the energy they exert while they're awake! If they are uncomfortable or unsafe, cats may not enter into deep sleep. To make a cosy sleep environment for your kitten, be sure to provide a bed or otherwise padded, raised sleep area. Sleeping on a raised platform allows cats to escape from other stimuli that are on the ground, such as children or other animals. This should be in a relatively cool room. If the temperature is cold enough, your cat could go up to a sleeping ball. Cats will sleep in a more relaxed position at warmer temperatures. Remember that usually the twigs of a cat are not harmful. It can even be entertaining to see a cat twitch! So sit down and relax, and enjoy the free show.
